Siberian Tiger Baikal at the Calgary Zoo. The 430 lbs. cat is a relatively new arrival at the zoo and is there to be part of the Species Survival Plan breeding programme.

- Stephen A. Nelson is an Anglo-Canadian journalist now based in Ontario and Alberta.
He has a master's degree in theology as well as a degree in journalism.
He has more than 20 years professional experience, including 11-plus years working as a reporter and editor in Western Canada.
